As a reminder, please be sure to utilize the designated dog run area for your pets. Although great improvements have been made, there are still a few residents allowing their dogs to discharge waste in other common areas, i.e. the landscaped areas in the courtyard. Any resident not abiding by the rules will be subject to Board discipline and potential fines. For your review, the complete section from the Residential Handbook regarding Animal Regulations is below.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Animal Regulations. Domestic dogs, cats, fish, caged birds, and non-poisonous reptiles may be kept as household pets within any Residential Unit provided that they are not kept, bred, or raised for commercial purposes or in unreasonable quantities. Wild animals of any type are not permitted within the Community. Reasonable quantities shall mean not more than two (2) pets per Residential Unit. The Board has the right to prohibit the ownership and/or maintenance of any animal that exhibits aggressive behavior where the Owner of such animal has been unable to demonstrate to the Board that he or she has taken appropriate actions to address such behavior. All animals must be kept on a leash held by a person capable of controlling the animal when in any public area. Owner’s are liable to all Owners, their families, guests and invitees, for any unreasonable noise or damage to a person or property caused by any animals brought or kept upon the Community. Each Owner is responsible for promptly cleaning up any animal waste from their Unit, the Common Areas or any public street abutting or visible from the Community.
(a) Other than the designated dog run area located at the northwest corner of the courtyard, no animals shall be permitted to discharge waste anywhere in or on the Association’s common areas including the courtyard and building exterior. At the designated dog run area, each Owner is responsible for picking up after their pet. Owners who do not comply with these rules will be subject to Board discipline and fines.
